How much are player fees?
For the season, player fees are $50 per player for those who play 10&under Tournament team through 18&u; $40 per player for those who play 8&u or 10&u League Only; and $30 for those who play instructional. (Registration will be held later on for the instructional program.)
Items marked * do not apply to 8 and under teams. (Sponsor fees are also lower for 8 and under teams.)
What do player fees cover?
Insurance for each player ($14 per player last year)
Insurance for each coach ($14 per coach last year)
Per-player fee to help offset field improvements ($5 per player)
*Umpires for home games (each team is responsible for half of league ump fees – typically $60 per league night, $360 or more per team per season)
Equipment for team (depends on needs each year)
ACE Certification for coaches ($25 per coach per year)
*Uniforms, if sponsors are unable to fund this expense (over and above sponsor fees)
What do sponsor fees cover?
League fee for the team and league tournament entry fee (generally $150+ per team)
*District tournament entry fee for the team (last year $175 per team)
*State tournament entry fee for the team (last year $225-$250 per team)
Why do we need fund-raisers?
Because player fees and sponsor fees don’t cover all expenses.
--Other tournament fees (about $200 per tournament)
--General association operating expenses (postage, supplies, copies, etc.)
--In the past we have also been able to make donations to the field improvements from our fund-raisers to help the FASA board continue to improve our fields.
