Parkview Apartments is located in downtown Fairbury, Nebraska and enjoys the city park as its backyard. Parkview Apartments is a non-smoking campus consisting of 59 units with 6 different floor plans. The building has an onsite manager and maintenance with many security features including secured building entrances.   Covered parking stalls are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis for an additional charge.  Storage units are also available well below market rate.

Parkview Apartments offers income-based housing available to all qualifying individuals 18 years of age and older. Rental rates include natural gas, water, sewer, trash, basic cable, and an electric usage allowance. These features allow residents an affordable but safe place to call home, with predictable monthly living expenses and a secured building.  Some units offer accessibility features such as step-in bathtubs, roll in showers, and lower kitchen cabinetry.  All units provide grab bars in the bathtubs.

Parkview has a tenant committee that schedules a variety of activities including game nights, Bingo, pot lucks, community picnics and social gatherings at for Family Day, Halloween and Christmas.  When interest exists, they also provide a tenant managed community garden.

In 2014 Parkview Apartments began a $2.5 million modernization project which to date has included:

  • New Elevator
  • New Boiler
  • Laundry Rooms on all Five Floors
  • Updated Fire Security System
  • Enhanced Building Security Features
  • Updated Bathroom Lighting

In November 2017 the Authority was awarded a $750,000 modernization grant through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka. Thanks to Heartland Bank for sponsoring the application.  The following modernization efforts were Made possible:

  • Replace Unit Heating System in all 60 units
  • Add Air Conditioning to Units on the 3rd, 4th & 5th floors
  • Expand tenant parking to include 23 additional parking stalls
  • Replace Building Central Air Units for Building Commons
  • Expand tenant parking to include 23 additional parking stalls

In recent years a total of $1.5 million has been spent to improve tenant, comfort, safety and convenience.

In 2020 the following modernization efforts are scheduled to begin:

  • Update & Modernize Boulevard & Security Lighting
  • Replace Building Central Air Units for Building Commons
  • Combine Units to create a three-bedroom unit – February 2020
  • Add Airconditioning to floors 1 & 2

Future years will include update kitchens and bathrooms and additional ADA features.

Parkview Apartments offers one-year leases, although shorter leases are available on a case-by-case basis. Security deposits start at $300.00. Pets and smokers require additional security deposits. Effective January 1, 2020, maximum rent by apartment size is as follows:
