Aware that funding for state parks and other public programs is often diminished as other demands are made on government budgets, this group organized to create a tax-exempt, non-profit corporation to raise funds to be used to enhance and expand educational and historical programs at the park. This foundation is operated by an elected Board of Directors. The Rock Creek Station Park Superintendent serves as an ex-officio member of the board and works to help the group identify needs and programs to be considered for funding. Emmigrant Experiences . . . in an educational program offered to area fourth graders in the fall.
